Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Mexico, the fell 0.19%.

The best performers of the session on the were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:), which rose 2.92% or 0.620 points to trade at 21.880 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:) added 2.68% or 1.630 points to end at 62.540 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:) was up 2.46% or 0.75 points to 31.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:), which fell 3.31% or 4.510 points to trade at 131.580 at the close. Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:) declined 3.20% or 2.770 points to end at 83.800 and Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:) was down 3.17% or 1.620 points to 49.420.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 185 to 114 and 6 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.37% or 16.35 to $1212.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $52.79 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.17 to trade at $55.49 a barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.05% to 20.8259, while EUR/MXN fell 0.05% to 22.4815.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.89% at 99.53.
