Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (MX:), which rose 1.61% or 0.590 points to trade at 37.340 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:) added 0.99% or 0.210 points to end at 21.520 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:) was up 0.89% or 0.180 points to 20.390 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:), which fell 2.55% or 1.230 points to trade at 47.100 at the close. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:) declined 2.22% or 1.280 points to end at 56.430 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:) was down 1.90% or 7.470 points to 386.060.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 109 to 107 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.53% or 6.10 to $1152.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.24% or 0.13 to hit $53.90 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.11 to trade at $56.74 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.07% to 20.7388, while EUR/MXN rose 0.31% to 21.8158.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 102.37.
