Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Mota Engil (LS:), which rose 1.85% or 0.0310 points to trade at 1.7090 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:) added 0.65% or 0.0001 points to end at 0.0154 and REN (LS:) was up 0.58% or 0.0150 points to 2.6030 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (LS:), which fell 1.95% or 0.0510 points to trade at 2.5600 at the close. Semapa (LS:) declined 1.56% or 0.1800 points to end at 11.3850 and Montepio (LS:) was down 1.54% or 0.007 points to 0.447.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 28 to 21 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Montepio (LS:) fell to all time lows; down 1.54% or 0.007 to 0.447.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.58% or 0.29 to $50.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.65% or 0.31 to hit $48.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.47% or 6.25 to trade at $1319.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1229, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8649.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.42.
